Privacy Policy

Sideline Stats LLC (“Sideline Stat,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides the Sideline Stat website and mobile application. This policy explains what information we collect, why we use it, and the choices available to account holders.

Information we collect

• Account information: email address, hashed password credentials, verification status, and account session information.
• Team and roster information: team name, team settings, schedules, player names, jersey numbers, grade levels, heights, weights, positions, and roster roles entered by an authorized coach or team representative.
• Game and statistics information: opponents, dates, game settings, play-by-play entries, scores, penalties, player statistics, and exported reports.
• Shared-team information: invitations, team membership, and ownership status when coaches choose to share access to a team.
• Device and service information: information needed to keep the service secure and reliable, such as IP address, browser or device type, timestamps, and diagnostic or server logs.
• Offline data: roster and game information may be stored locally on the user’s device so the tracker can work without an internet connection. Pending changes sync when a connection becomes available.

How we use information

We use information to create and secure accounts, operate the stat tracker, save and synchronize team data, provide offline functionality, generate and email reports, support shared team access, respond to support requests, prevent misuse, and improve service reliability.

Support access to account data

When needed to answer a support request, troubleshoot a problem, protect the service, or maintain its operation, authorized Sideline Stats LLC administrators may open an account's saved team data, including roster and game information. Support access is limited to those purposes and is recorded with the administrator, account, time, and stated reason. Administrators may update a limited set of team settings to resolve a support issue, but cannot use the support tools to edit roster entries, player statistics, or play records. We do not use this access for advertising or unrelated account monitoring.

When information is shared

We do not sell personal information and do not use personal information for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking. Information may be shared in these limited circumstances:

• With coaches or team members whom the team owner invites or authorizes.
• With service providers that help operate Sideline Stat, including Cloudflare for hosting, database, security, and delivery services; Resend for account and report email delivery; and Apple for mobile-app and TestFlight distribution.
• When required by law, to protect legal rights or safety, or in connection with a business transfer.

Player and student information

Sideline Stat is intended for use by coaches and authorized team personnel, not for children to create their own accounts. Coaches and organizations are responsible for having appropriate authority to enter, use, export, and share roster or player information, including information about student-athletes.

Data retention and deletion

Account holders can start account deletion from Account settings in the app or website. Deletion permanently removes the account, its solo team data, and its sign-in sessions. The account is removed from teams owned by other coaches, while those shared teams and their saved records remain available to their members. An account that owns a shared team must transfer ownership before deletion so the team and its records remain accessible. Users should sync pending changes and download any desired backups before confirming deletion. Information stored only on a device can be removed by deleting the app or clearing the website’s stored data. For help with a deletion request, contact info@sidelinestat.us.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information, including encrypted connections, hashed passwords, access controls, and protected account sessions. No system can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

Account holders may update roster and team data, export backups and reports, remove authorized coaches if they are the team owner, transfer team ownership, or delete their account from Account settings. They may also contact us to request access or correction of personal information.

Policy changes

We may update this policy as Sideline Stat changes. The effective date at the top of this page will identify the latest version. Material changes may also be communicated through the service or by email.
