The next play is ready
Down, distance, ball spot, possession, score, and point-after flow move forward with the game.
Built by a coach. Tested on Friday nights.
Sideline Stat is a football-first stat tracker that follows the flow of a real game, works offline, and turns every tap into useful team stats.
Why we built it
I tried the live tools. I went back to pen and paper. Neither one matched the speed and decisions of a real football game—especially for a small-school staff where one person may be tracking nearly everything.
Sideline Stat started with one simple goal: make game-night stat keeping feel like football. The app remembers the quarter, follows down and distance, carries the ball spot forward, and moves to the right next screen after scores and changes of possession.
It was shaped play by play, correction by correction, with real coaches and real games. The result is a tool that handles the bookkeeping so the stat keeper can stay present on the sideline.
“Record the play. Let the tracker handle what comes next.”
Made for game speed
Down, distance, ball spot, possession, score, and point-after flow move forward with the game.
Keep taking stats offline on the sideline, then sync when a connection comes back.
Choose 6-, 8-, 9-, or 11-man settings, including either 80- or 100-yard fields for 9-man, plus the matching first-down distance and touchback spot.
Add a missed play in order, edit down and distance, reopen a finalized game, and keep moving.
Offense, defense, special teams, opponent results, penalties, conversions, and turnovers live together.
Back up the game and export CSV or a MaxPreps-ready TXT file when the work is done.
See the flow
Watch how Sideline Stat keeps the field position, score, quarter, and next situation visible while the stat keeper records the details that matter.

Why it feels different
Sideline Stat applies football logic as the game changes—without taking control away from the stat keeper.
Large targets, priority players, compact iPad layouts, and deliberate next steps reduce unnecessary taps.
Review totals, protect a backup, and hand off files that fit the tools coaches already use.
